McKenzie Outplacement Program

The McKenzie Outplacement Program is designed to assist staff with the transition from their current or former employer to a new employer. We tailor our standard program for each client to suit to the needs of the individual, not a ‘one size fits all’ process.  

Each participating candidate in the outplacement program will be assisted through what can be a very difficult time in their professional career, ensuring their self-esteem is intact and they remain active in searching for their next role.  

The McKenzie Outplacement Program can be designed for either groups or individuals and the program components are completely customisable depending on our client’s needs. Senior management participants have the option of receiving more individual attention and services.   

McKenzie's Outplacement program operates for between 8 and 10 weeks, with another 12 months support available as needed.

The outplacement program includes:

• Analysis of the individual’s awareness of the current job market (questionnaire),
• Review Current Situation – Understanding of the Redundancy,
• Review/Consider Individual personal/professional goals,
• Conduct Individual Skills Assessment - pyschometric testing, behavioural/technical skills, accomplishments, strengths/weaknesses
• Identification of preferred Roles/Industries/Organisations,
• Resume Development - Resume format, Application/Cover Letter 
• Job Search Program - Job Search Plan, Identifying the Hidden/Open Job Market, Identifying suitable roles, Application for Roles, Interview Techniques

Whilst the format above will be used for all outplacement program participants, those at senior management levels have the option of receiving more individual attention and services, such as:

• The use of McKenzie office space to conduct their job search;
• Administrative support;  
• Greater access to McKenzie Recruitment Consultants (in their respective industry)
